Time To Go Play In The Snow

September 26, 2016 in Community

No not real snow ( at least not yet ), but I’ll get to what that means in just a bit. As anyone in their jobs I like to have sense of accomplishment and believe that I am making a difference for the company that I work for and my team. Until recently I felt like that was the case, but soon realized that wasn’t the case any longer. Over the past year and a half I have had the privilege to work with and meet some really awesome people at Brocade. I was even able to convince them to start a few community programs and show the value back to the business. It was always a great feeling to see these programs come to life and be able to engage with the members of the community and see it grow. There are however some things you cannot/do not plan for such as a change in leadership, vision, priorities etc. While my time at Brocade was great and I truly appreciate the former leadership team believing in the vision I had for the Brocade community, it is time to move on.

I have accepted the positon of Global Marketing Communities Manager for Snow Software. This will be a change in many different ways. This will be the smallest company I have worked for, but I see this as a positive as there will less political barriers to jump through as I will be reporting directly to the VP of Marketing. Snow does not have a community as of now, so this will be a great opportunity to take all the lessons/best practices I have learned in the past and put them into practice as I launch a brand new community! This will also be the first time in about 3 years where I will have an actual office to drive in to (even though it is downtown and traffic will be horrible J). I want to thank all of you who talked with me and helped me make this decision. I believe this is a great opportunity and can’t wait to get started!

About Snow Software
Whether it’s through lack of control, lack of understanding or lack of compliance, Snow (www.snowsoftware.com) believes that most organizations today end up paying too high a price for their software.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Snow Software is the largest dedicated developer of Software Asset Management solutions, designed to ensure that the $326 billion spent every year on enterprise software is money well spent — ensuring organizations have the appropriate licenses for the software they use — not too many, not too few.

With more local offices and regional support centers than any other vendor, over 6,000 organizations around the world rely on Snow Software’s on-premises and cloud-based SAM platforms to manage software licensing across more than 11 million devices, from mobile to desktop, data center to the cloud.
