My Time With The SonyX Headphones

There are a lot of differing options about Klout, but the one thing they excel at is getting brands to participate in their perks program. This is a great way to get people talking about or even promoting your brand (plus people get free stuff).
I was lucky enough to snag one of the Simon Cowell SonyX headphone perks a few moths ago. Granted these headphones are something I would have never thought about purchasing, mainly because I was not a fan of the huge headphones that looked like they were resurrected from the 80’s. However, I have grown to like them mainly because they are really comfortable and sound great. I will probably never wear them around my neck or while out, but on trips or in my home they are perfect.
A few of my observations below:
Very secure fit with highly adjustable headband. Comes with two removable cables—one with iPhone controls. The headphones also come with a 1/4-inch adapter for larger headphone jacks, and a zip-up, soft carrying case. I particularly like the removable cables, because they don’t tangle easily and most importantly if something happens you can easily replace a cable without having to purchase a new set of headphones. However, I noticed the audio controls work sometimes on my android phone, but the mic never does so I can’t make phone calls with them. They do work perfectly with the iPhone though and the sound is clear and no one has had a hard time hearing me. .
I know a lot of people are going to ask if they are comparable to the Beats by Dre headphones, but sadly I don’t own a pair and they have not responded to my request to test a pair. I am sure there are other reviews that can compare them for you.
Overall this is a very good set of headphones, even though they are a little on the pricey side at ~$300 dollars. These are great desk headphones. Unlike others, they won’t pinch your head after a few hours and they block out unwanted environmental noise without noise-canceling electronics.
